Ahhh November - where have you come from?
As we enter 2o18’s penultimate month we’re really pleased that we’re nice and busy gigging at some fantastic venues around the North.
We’ve been in Yorkshire, Cumbria, Cheshire and Lancashire in the last few weeks in a bid to bring our sounds to as many listeners as we can.
We were delighted to go and play for Chester Brewhouse and Kitchen at Halloween. We used to love our frequent visits to these brilliant bars down in our old home. Their Chester branch has a great vibe and the same lively atmosphere that we used to enjoy down South.
We were really delighted to gig in Bowness-on-Windermere at BAHA - a superb new venue there. This was our first gig in Cumbria and there was something very lovely about gigging in the town where Paul’s Dad grew up.
In gear related news, Hayley finally got herself a piano. She is using her ebony and ivory keyed new friend for teaching and song-writing
Paul’s beloved Blues Junior amp is about to take a little trip to the Amplifier Doctor. It has a couple of faults and bits of kit like this need some love and attention from time to time.
We’ve some lovely gigs to look forward to this month and they’re all around the Manchester area.
We'll be at the really cool House Bar and Restaurant in Altrincham, The Cross Keys in Uppermill, the very cool Pointing Dog in Cheadle and The Old Sessions House in Knutsford before the month is out.

In our teaching lives we’re getting busier by the week.
We both have a great bunch of private students and our group sessions continue to grow.
This month will see Hayley launch the second of her adult choirs as Soul Sounds Stockport starts on Thursday 15th November.
Soul Sounds Saddleworth - Youth Pop Choir will be kicking off this month too.
Paul will be also be launching two new guitar courses for adults around the area.
It is all good fun and beats working for a living!

October 2018
We’ve had a cracking start to Autumn 2018 and are really settling into our new North West home.
In search of gigs we’ve been busily contacting venues and over the coming weeks we’ll be playing at some wonderful establishments around the area.
These include gigs in Leeds, Manchester, Chester, Windermere and Harrogate before December comes around - check out http://www.thecoastersband.co.uk/gig-diary/ to see where we’re performing.
Apparently Christmas isn’t far away, and with that in mind we’ve started to think about dusting off some festive tunes for December. We’ll be at some really lovely venues in the run up to 25/12/18 and are just tying up details on further festive bookings.
If you want to see us definitely not play that Mariah Carey tune, come and catch us!
We swooped down South over the 5th, 6th & 7th October to play a couple of gigs.
These included us playing at the stunning wedding of Andy & Kenny at the really sensational Southampton Harbour Hotel.
We played as a duo during the ceremony and got to play some beautiful songs that Andy and Kenny had picked.
In the evening we performed as a four piece party band - our first song followed hot on the heels of the best first dance we’ve seen in a while (and we see a lot!).
We also returned to one of our old Fuller’s pub haunts - The Crown Inn, in Bishop Waltham to play for Kenny and the team there. The locals were dancing and having a great time in this cracking pub and restaurant.
During the last bit of 2018 and the early part of 2019 we’ll be working hard on our full party band.
It is great to be able to offer this line up in addition to our duo. We play with superb musicians, who have loads of amazing experience and together we’re committed to playing only the finest tunes at events and giving audiences a night to remember.

We’ll be playing in this line-up at The White Buck in Burley on New Years Eve this year in what is a ticket only event.

Our next gig is in Merseyside at the beautiful Thornton Manor Wedding Venue.
This is our first gig in a long time in the North West!
We'll be performing more around the region in coming months and years as we've just bought a house in a town close to Manchester!
We've had a truly wonderful four years on the South Coast playing and teaching music to lots and lots of wonderful music fans.
We've played at weddings, parties, corporate events, on boats and in castles and we've loved every minute of it.
We are very excited to embark on our new adventure and are really inspired that we'll be so close to wonderfully vibrant cities with rich musical heritage.
We are still taking bookings for venues and events in the South of England. We'll be playing as a four piece party band at a stunning Southampton Wedding in October, seeing in the New Year with the same lineup at The White Buck in Burley and have some bookings for 2019 in the bottom half of England.
We're really looking forward to playing at corporate events, restaurants, bars and weddings around Manchester, Cheshire, the Lake District, the Peak District, Lancashire and Merseyside over the coming months.

August 2018 - Life in Manchester
A couple of days after we moved to our new Manchester home we were up in Edinburgh playing at the really beautiful wedding of Manchester based couple Lex & Dan.
Their wedding was really beautiful and their guests were really lovely people.
We've lots more gigs coming up over the next couple of months around the North West and the rest of the UK.
Late August 2018
We're getting nicely settled into our Manchester home now.
We've had some great gigs in the North West in the last couple of weeks.
On Thursday 16th August we were at the really wonderful Oakwood Pub in Glossop. We were very lucky to play in front of a great enthusiastic, music loving crowd.
On Sunday 19th we were in Southport playing at The Potting Shed. This great chain has venues across the North and we're booked to play a few of them over the coming weeks.
This week we're back off down South for a couple of gigs. On Friday 24th we're playing at wedding for a really beautiful couple in Hertfordshire, before we head on Tuesday 28th to play for the management team at Southampton Harbour Hotel.
We'll be back in Manchester for September and in our teaching lives will be kicking off private lessons and group workshops. Additionally, we have some great meetings lined up with some really interesting organisations in the city with a view to working with them as Autumn approaches.
We're delighted that our calendar for live gigs around Manchester, Lancashire and Cheshire is starting to fill up with bookings for the remainder of this year.
We've also taken bookings for 2019, and a couple for 2020 weddings in Manchester and the wider North West area.
Inspiration has struck too in recent weeks with ideas for a couple of new original songs taking shape.
We're looking forward to showing you our music at a gig soon!
September 2018
Autumn seems to be stealthily seeping in and this typically sees a slight drop in wedding bookings for acts like us.
Despite the descent of colder weather and shorter days we got to play at the drinks reception at a lovely wedding in Devon last Saturday.
We tied the trip to the South West in with a spot of camping and a couple of cream teas. Beats the usual Travelodge that often accompanies a long distance gig!
At the end of August we played at the really stunning Southampton Harbour Hotel for a private function they were hosting.
We’re back at this swanky spot in October for a wedding for a really lovely couple.
We’re playing during their ceremony as a duo and then as a four piece party band for the evening reception. We can’t wait!
Next month we’ll be playing again at a trio of the lovely Pottingshed bars. We’ll be at their Southport, Bingley and Harrogate venues in October.
We’ve got some exciting stuff to tell you about in the pipeline.
We’re working with new Manchester venues for acoustic duo bookings; have fresh original music in development; we’re working on arrangements of new covers and we’re putting together a fantastic funky four piece party band that has already been booked by eager music lovers for 2018 and 2019 dates.
